Cheshire Lines Committee Liveries

19th Century liveries are often open to conjecture. It is also notoriously difficult to reproduce accurate colours on a computer screen, so this has not been attempted. Accurate matches should be taken from preserved vehicles, museums, or historical societies.

Locomotives

The Cheshire Lines Committee did not own any of its own locomotives, hence it did not have a locomotive livery.

However, it did own four Sentinel railcars. These were initially painted in the CLC's coach teak livery. They were later painted in a buff and brown livery.

Coaching Stock

Coaches were finished in varnished teak.

Non-passenger vehicles were painted teak. Ironwork was black, and the lettering was gold.
