With the books that I have, Works Numbers are hard to look up unless I know which class it might be.

There weren't a huge variety of types being built in 1947, so I guessed at a Thompson B1 - and I was right!

Works No. 2005, Built at Darlington, Date: April 1947.
LNER No. 1025 "Pallah". [the first B1s were named after antelopes - hence they were often known as "Antelope Class" or "Bongoes" - a type of antelope]
Renumbered Dec. 1948 as BR No. 61025.
Withdrawn from service: December 1962.

Built as a part of the second LNER batch (ordered in 1944). BR also built quite a few.

If you have the plate, I think it might have a higher value than the average works plate - it is from a popular type of locomotive. There are many people alive who fondly remember them, and two engines survive into preservation.
Alas, the nameplate would be worth a lot more!
