Neil,
as usual with you some great photographs. Could I just respectfully correct a couple of errors. The Photograph of a V2 & 60510 Robert the Bruce @ Edinburgh Waverley in 1957 should read V2 Class 60806.
The Photograph of a V2 @ Wakefield Kirkgate taken on 22-7-1965 should read 60878.
I hope you don't mind me bringing this to your attention, I am not being picky, just trying to be helpful.
Equally the Photograph of a V2 60971 @ Grantham. I am slightly sceptical of this as the large building in the right hand background looks highly unfamiliar. Also the Signal Box is on the Down side not the Up as shown here.
Kindest Regards,Derek.

Hi Neil

Good photographs showing the versatility of the ubiquitous V2's.

Re. Photograph 36 / 107 "60855 unknown location North of England". I am reasonably certain that the location is Copley Hill MPD, Leeds.

One hundred million per cent - I agree, that's Copley Hill, Leeds. The carriage works are behind the locomotive.

Is 903 on the Up slow in the Woodwalton area where the line comes off the fens and starts into the cutting?

Hi Neil,

The photograph of 60851 was taken at Inverkeithing. The workmen shovelling gravel appear in a photograph on another thread with N15 number 69164.

Best wishes

Thank you for these fine shots of V2's - handsome nachines!

Often what's behind the tender is also of considerable interest to me. In this case my attention has been caught by the second carriage in the train hauled by 4841 (second photo in the series). This is an 8-wheeled clerestory vehicle with what looks like a pair of inset locker doors at the leading end - but these seem to be the only doors in the side visible. Can anyone identify this vehicle, please?
