Colour of lettering & numbering on B1 1040

Post by 1040 »

Hi All,
I am building 2 models of B1 1040 Roedeer in LNER black as first built and I'm not sure what colour the cabside numbers and tender lettering should be, I've seen photo's of models with gold shaded in red but RTCS part 1 says black loco's should be yellow shaded red and brown, I realise the sizes are different on the tender and cabside, could anyone give me a definitive answer please. Thanking you in anticipation. Regards Ken Shipley.

Can anyone help please with what the NBL serial number would have been on the manufacturers plate as found in front of the smoke box on the frames? To clarify, this is for loco 1040 only. Thank you

I foudn it here - www.brdatabase.info/sites.php?page=buil ... B&lot=L958
