first day steam

Post by daveinstoke »

Well with the clocks altering this weekend, decided to take a trip to the Churnet valley railway. A good day out with a standard 264 tank , Brush type 3 & a very newly restored Brush 4. It was good to see a number of people & very exited Dads & kids :D

I didn't know Brush had built a type 3 - just a 2 (the class 31s) and a couple of 4s (the single class 53 and the rather more numerous class 47s)?

Sounds nice, though, and very good to get out at this time of year to blow the cobwebs away. Steam does it very well, I find.
So - did anyone dare tell Stephenson, "It's not Rocket science"?
