GCR O4 2-8-0 'ROD'

Saturday the 3rd March 2012 and BR 7MT No.70000 'Britannia' is seen hauling 'The Cumbrian Mountain Express' over the Settle and Carlisle Railway seen at Gargrave Viaduct and Horton In Ribblesdale.

That thing back in GREEN livery again (it's propper livery). :wink:

Although they had to give it a WHITE cab roof and an 'early' B.R. emblem. :roll:

Atleast it don't look like a ruddy 'space ship' (9F) from a distance anymore. :wink:

Micky, 70000 hauled the royal train last month, so it has the (dare I say very nice) white cab roof from that. The roof is to be painted black this month, unfortunately.

Apparently "Driver Wales" may have been active on the run. He was certainly on the footplate for part of it....
