Well after three months of hailstorm repairs and the discovery of more rust after more rust, she's back, looking better than ever, and even the correct colour now! :D

The only thing is my wallet will never be the same again, and of course the weather's now against those "pointless but fun" drives, not that I have time for them anyway! :(

And very nice she looks, too, Earl. Wonder how she'd fare here in the winter. We get a lot of snow, and she looks a bit close to the ground for these parts. That said, I've seen a few Minis about, but then they're front wheel drive.

If you thought that was bad, you haven't yet worked on anything built by Karmann :(

Looked at one...... that was enough.
Beyond the scale of rust after rust is some of landrover's work when the electrolytic corrosion sets in and supposedly rot free panels crumble to dust. At least a steel vehicle can be welded and patched.
I take it with the weather today you'll have her safely tucked away in the garage after all that work?

Sadly no garage but the car is my every day motor so it doesn't just stand and decay.

With it looking so nice I have been reluctant to go out in it this last week though! :(
