The LNER 2-4-2 Locomotives

The 2-4-2 arrangement was popular with the LNER constituent companies for small tank engines for hauling light passenger trains. Most were built in the latter half of the 19th Century, and the LNER never built any 2-4-2T locomotives of its own.
