How do I turn off notifications for new posts in particular threads? The email notification suggests there should be a button to do this, but it appears to have been lost in the recent updates.
If you no longer wish to watch this topic you can either click the
"Unsubscribe topic" link found at the bottom of the topic above, or by
clicking the following link:
viewtopic.php?uid=639&f=3&t=937&unwatch=topic
The URL doesn't work either.

Those options were disabled because people would sign up and months/years later change their email - so I then received a mailbox full of bounced email.

Despite repeated posts asking you to fix things, your email box has bounced a lot of these notifications over the years...

Sending warning post to the bouncing address is never going to work. Maybe a PM might have got a response?

Or just sort your email out like everybody else. Richard has more than enough to already.

Quite.

I actually did send a PM - but how are you notified of a PM? By an email...

I've just looked through my PM folder which goes back to june 2010, i.e. before the last time I changed my address, and there are no PM from you.

But no matter, the question is: in the absence of the button that you removed, how can notifications from specific threads be turned off?

You could try "Edit Notification Options" on the Board Preferences tab on the User Control Panel. It will be an all or nothing thing if it works.
