At first sight, it doesn't let me, although I notice that the National Preservation forums have multiple "ribbon" ranks. They might have installed an add-on to do this.

Alternatively you could always put "Site Admin in text on your avatar.

True!

I think there must also be software mods to allow multiple ranks/labellings - I've seen it on other phpbb forums. I don't think it is worth installing them though, but modifying the avatar would be quick to do.

The admin, I belive, should be Chief Mechanical Engineer!

Dear Sirs I have the LNER teak finished Royal Train in 0 gauge-eight coaches-is it permissable to add it's photo to this file please ?

I'm not sure what you mean. You could create an "Avatar" image base on it, but it probably wouldn't show up very well - small, simple images work best.
