A2/3 Steady Aim help.

Post by simon moore »

I am building a DJH kit of the A2/3 & have decided to base it around Steady Aim because i belive it was a York engine & will fit into my layout & period etc etc. Now the Djh kit comes with various cab Sides & their are a few different detailing parts which can be fitted depending on the prototype. Now can anyone supply me with a couple of decent colour if possible photos of the loco in BR late crest livery so it gives me a firm base to work too.

Thank you

Simon.

I don't have any colour shots of 60512 but I do have a 1964 b&w picture taken at Carstairs in May 1964. 60512 was not always a York engine, because it spent its final years in Scotland

Simon,

Go here for a nice B&W picture of 60512 at King Edward Bridge Junction:

Re the cabs in the kit. The V shape are for the A2/2 version. A2/3 all had straight side cabs
