July 5-6 2008 to celebrate 70 years of Malards run, Sir Nigel will run KX - York, then join Union, Bittern, and Mallard outside. Union then to Edinburgh and return, re-line up, Bittern then to KX.
The first time since 1966 that 3 mainline certificated A4s are to be lined up!
Also in 2008 is the 80th Anniversary of the Flying Scotsman (1928)
Also on display in York will be Tornado, basing in York for Mainline trials, Scotsman is reported to still be in the workshops then!
All saying Bittern will ever get to York that is!
