What colour were A4 nameplates between 1956 to 1962?

I believe this topic has been discussed on the Forum before, especially concerning Scottish Region A4s with blue-backed nameplates.

Not very good with links.

The topic was 'A4's with blue background nameplates', but other colours were mentioned too.
