Few years ago someone did something similar. Using some photos of both Gresley and South Africa at the Doncaster 150 do, they photo shopped the pair into Virgin Cross Country livery. Seriously though I feel it would be great if a pair of the UK based A4s were turned out in two tone Grey in the style of the original 4 machines and LNER Green. I remember seeing 4464 Bittern at Percy Main the former Metro test centre now the North Tyneside Railway in 1989 or so a Silver Link in the two tone Grey and thinking WOW! no wonder they caused such a stir. OK I know none of the survivors ran in either colour. But they are an authentic colour scheme for the engines. I'd keep them with their own identies, hence in the "style of......"
