Wagon Number Plate

I have a wagon number plate from 1946, number 274211. I've tried to identify the wagon it came from using Tatlow's book but the number ranges he gives don't cover that serial. I think it may be from a 12 ton 6 plank open wagon (plate 36 on page 21 shows such numbered 275704) or maybe a hopper wagon like plate 133 on page 137.
I've just extrapolated the numbers on both these and should appreciate any advice as to where full numbering records are available.
