'Fox' Bogie at Tanfield

In addition the 12 Ton Fruit Van posted separately , my visit to Tanfield last Sunday provided some detail pictures of a splendid NER bogie.
I have several more of these to make, so the pictures may be useful.
I have one or two more pictures of the bogie and underframe trussing. If anyone would like larger versions do let me know.
I haven't looked this vehicle up on the VCT website yet, but I think the 52' Clerestory vehicle to which the bogie is attached may be in the queue for restoration. I certainly hope so.)

I have quite a few taken over the Gala weekend and before some showing the derelicts and grounded bodies...... I'll uploaded them once I'm home.

Here are more pictures of ex-NER bogies and the trussed underframe
I am interested in how the queen posts are attached to the rodding. These now appear to be welded. This coach will have progressed to Tanfield via colliery owners/NCB, so they they may not provide the best clue as to how the NER did this.
These are only 'phone pictures, and I have re-sized them so as not to take up too much space. The originals are at least twice the posted size, and if anyone wants the larger version then do contact me.

Thanks for bringing us those photographs. Are all the coaches we see of NER origin? Is the newly restored coach - in NCB livery - seen on the railway on Sunday also of NER origin? Do all of the coaches (in the photograph) seen in a long line at Beamish still exist? If all of them are ex-NER, then surely they're considered to be of huge historical importance. They are in my book.
It was nice seeing a newly restored coach, but at the same time, a little disappointing that it wasn't restored to original NER specification, though I appreciate that may have been a big ask

Yes all the coaches are NER. The fully restored one was returned to the original livery but that was some years ago. I assume that it still has that livery but I have not seen it recently. The elliptic roofed coaches were the later ones produced in large numbers for local services. I believe that one one those in the photos is the commonest variant D178.
