Tommy Knox has a database dedicated to LNER Pacific workings. It is a remarkable resource, to which I have made a very modest contribution of the early Frank Giles records, courtesy of the LNER Society.
He is, I think, still Hon. Archivist of the Gresley Society. I stand to be corrected on that, if I am out-of-date.

With regard to Pacifics other than A3s being banned from the Met/GC joint, I’ve not heard of this but I do know that once the LMR took over Britannia Pacifics worked regularly over this route. Also in “Great Central Railway’s London Extension” there is a photograph of Bullied Pacific 35030 at Rickmansworth on 3rd September 1966.
