Class A7 4-6-2 (ex-NER) Freight Tank Engine

Post by gregson3059 »

Gentlemen,
I am just completing a Gauge 1 live steam model of a Class A7 4-6-2 (ex-NER) Freight Tank Engine loco. I have many photos , including from Yeadon Volume 21, but have been unsuccessful in locating a photo taken from an overhead position, which shows cab roof and side water tank top detail. Anyone out there who can direct me to one, or better still, email me one? Many thanks if anyone can assist.
Regards John (email: johngregson3059@gmail.com)

There is a photo in “North Road Locomotive Works Darlington, 1863-1966”, by Ken Hoole, that shows two Class Y locomotives being built. It’s not ideal but you can see the tank fillers, tank support brackets, and the basic roof shape.
