I suppose many of us went up to see the show, me not being up there for years, I didn't do all that well, but got my positions sorted for next weekend.
I haven't sorted the photos yet, but done the video

I particularly enjoyed the second scene, as Green Arrow departs Grosmont, when the gentleman with the red sleeves and attractive hat in front of our august cameraman appears to remove something from his nose, inspecting it before casually flicking it onto the track. It's a good job 4771 didn't lose traction and do a Blue Peter. Still, I suppose we should be grateful that he didn't eat it.

And is it just me, but is 60009's smokebox numberplate a bit wonky in the opening shot?
So - did anyone dare tell Stephenson, "It's not Rocket science"?

Looked at the big version, and yes 60009 does look wonky, but might be the angle, for the reference the noise is from the NELPG workshop behind me!

The man picking his nose? looks like he rubs it acctually.

I would have more, if I hadn't cocked it up so much, Green Arrow departing Grosmont? I hit the button and stopped it by accident!
Union arriving in Goathland? If you look (and the next shot) Sir Nigel is in reverse on the other track...now if only I had pressed record!
The last shot of Sir Nigel at Darnhome? Union came the other way (in reverse) straight after the Goathland change, but I had to put a new disc in, and it's the first time I had to do it, so I formatted it, and did it to video, so the computer couldn't read the disc!
Won't make that mistake again.

Going back next weekend.

I also have footage of Unions Motion when it passed right in front of me, if anyone wants to see it, I'll get it on to you tube, it's only about 10 seconds though!

Nice video - it showed me what I had missed. I had intended to go, but having spent the whole of Saturday under my son's car, I was too b*****d up to make the 200 mile round trip!
I think SNG No7 looks superb in BR blue, I have never been a fan of Garter Blue but the darker shade does look well.

I think that's "the news" to which CVR1865 refers.

Non the less, it was quite a good day (if you had shelter between the sunny bits!)
Got some great footage (in the snow) at Moorgates, and nice Sunny ones from Levisham, with some superb footage of No.7, as it slowed for the signal.
When sorted, I will duly post.

The photo of the top and tail working at summit, reminds me.
Did any working include a "Prototype HST working "
A4 each end facing out?

I've done that in n gauge.

And in answer to my question of Bittern, it is in reverse gear, if you look at the top and tail one, 75029 is on the back, and on the return working Bittern was on the back, which is better than on the front tender first!

Although the photos of 60007 arriving in Levisham, I have on film, and the smoke gets blown the wrong way there!

Made it meself on the Sunday and got absolutely soaked to the skin and frozen to the marrow. AND no V2!! Plus Mrs Blink Bonny complaining that we'd cut short our holliers in Wales to go!!!

Mind you - steam and snow. Unbeatable!!
