I'd like to know how fast he was going through Arlesey tonight. It must have been 80+. The safety valves were blowing and with a long whistle blast as he came past made it almost deafening... My partner has a baby on board and she said it was trying to make an exit..

Bittern is now holed up in the NRM prep bay, with UsoA in the Workshop still without the offending Axle, and Mallard is in Situe as per ususal.

Had a good morning really, if you ignore the fact the the Bullet is in the way, I sat in the Search engine on the balconey, and read in Mallard, How the Blue Streak Broke the World Speed Record, the entire Chapter on the day or reconning all about the day, whilst looking at Mallard and the offending Dynanometer Car. And for the record the coaches use were 3 Twin sets from the Spare set. In Mallard and the A4 class, it shows a colour photo of Mallard on the journey.
Did you know that there was a speed restriction through Gratham of 15-25mph so it would have easily got faster!
