Post by John B »

Does anyone on the forum have any pre second world war shed allocations for 62493 (LNER 9035) "Glen Gloy"?

Thanks

The obvious place to look would be the copy of Yeadons for the Glens, but I don't have it - I'm not even sure if it has been published yet? (the latest volumes have a lot of Scottish 4-4-0s).

9035 was at Thorton at the groupng moving to Eastfield later, though I haven't a date. In 1953 it went to Kittybrester

The RCTS Green Book 4 has 9035 allocated to Thornton at grouping and this is confirmed by Yeadon's Locomotives Allocations 1st Jan 1923. The Green Book also has a pic of 62493 at Keith shed in 1955.
