Just found this on the NMSI Site, bet you didn't know this then..it's an odd name/numbering back in 1944

I've just run some tests - looks to be the curly brackets that are throwing the forum software.

I did actually know about the renamings. The nameplates were wooden, and were only added for the photos. Eventually all of his daughters received them! All a little odd for the austere WW2 conditions.

I've just checked my A4 page and I haven't mentioned the names. I'll have to see what I can dig up (ie. all the names), and I'll them to the page.

It's Merlin again, but this time as 1943 Bryan

And looking at the 2 pages (1931 Davina & 1943 Bryan) they were both 10th August 1944 on the same engine (that's quick numbering!)
