Whitby runs Southern+LMS+2BR

Post by Tom Quayle »

Sad to report that the NYMRs whitby runs have been booked for 45407, 76079, 825 and 75029 (www.uksteam.info) which is a shame would have been nice if 45407 had gone to scotland rather than 61264 imagine a B1 at whitby. Well after a year of running in at the NYMR 60007 gos mainline. Would be nice to get it out of whitby.
The weather here is Baltic but so were the tank engines
Furness Railway and GCR fan.

45407 IS going to Scotland, replacing the B1, but by then the NYMR should by then (september) have their own loco 75029 (therefore not paying loco hire charges) and Essex Loco Societies S15 825 doing them so why would they want to hire that thing in when all it does at the NYM is fail. lol.

lol well I supose so but wouldn't it be nice to move things around a bit for example the Jacobite done by 45407 and 76079 for a season and 62005 and 61264 doing dalesmans over settle carlisle and running and out of york. Or even bring 60009 north of Brimimgham more than twice a year.

At least weve got 4 A4s at york coming up sometime next september
