Going to be another interesting exhibit at the Flying Scotsman exhibition that's a lot bigger than them, and it's not the Flying Scotsman!

Ones you didnt get.

Oil Pots, 16 in total but of different types, Guage Glasses, Snitching Valve plus some other random insignificance.

This time?

They've never had her before, but if they'd have wanted her from the start, BR would have given them her for free!

You try and run the Museum, the Locos, the Staff, and the Shop, all on what the shop brings in, plus, grants...they don't make a great lot of money.

Oh and if the NRM hadn't have got her, she'd be in ....China now!

Waterman was a part owner of Flying Sctosman at one time. It nearly bankrupted him. He also, quote "received hate mail from vicars" due to their livery choices.

Whoever owns Flying Scotsman will never please everyone.

Perhaps the next replica after "Tornado" should be an A3 - possibly several - so that they can run simultaneously in apple green, wartime black, BR express blue, Brunswick green with both styles of totem, and anything else I may have forgotten...
So - did anyone dare tell Stephenson, "It's not Rocket science"?
