Looking for any info on a N.B.R Loco 4-4-0 Name St Boswells id plate 490

It looks like it is a Drummond "Abbotsford" Class!
LNER D27/D28; NBR Class M

The name was removed after 1884 when the locomotive superintendent changed, and NBR naming policy also changed.

Drummond's Abbotsfords were noted for their large size at the time that they were introduced.

I've just looked No. 490 up in "Locomotives of the LNER". It was built at Cowlairs in 1879 in the final batch of four. It was withdrawn in November 1921 (as NBR No. 1371) and did not survive into LNER ownership (only 7 out of the 12 'Abbotsfords' did)
