Scotsman Delay

Post by Flying Scotsman »

Hi Jonathan he

I got a e-mail from the NRM some of it said Flying Scotsman wouldn't return till the end of 2007.
This is more than likley a money problem but worrying.

If money becomes even more srtict it might not come back till August 2008.

Well scrap the project and put money into something else. 4472 is absobing all the NRMs fund what about the rest of the operational fleet. Most promernat being 4771 (now not allowed to 75), 30777, 850 (TPWS?), 63601 and there are others. Why not make the royal 47 avalable for railtours this could bring in money, especially now the Giants of steam is drawing to a close.

Further to this, I stopped and read the electronic scoreboard in the workshop, which used to say Aug 2007, now it just says 2008!
