DES1 / J45 Buffer Beams?

DES1 / J45 Buffer Beams?

Does anyone know if the DES1 / J45 (350hp diesel shunters) had red buffer beams?

I'm painting mine (really a BachFarish 08!) and looked through the RCTS book but it doesn't help. Looking at 08 pictures, I've found a picture of them with red buffer beams, but I see the spare BR blue body that I have has yellow buffer beams (to match the yellow wasp stripes).
