Unknown A4 on Network Rail run

Post by mistahjim »

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows which A4 was out and about on the 18th of May in the Goole area. I was travelling back to Hull from Donny and glanced across to see a streak in BR Green at the head of a train. well, I say head, she was actually being pulled by a 47 in IC Swallow liv. (The shame of it).

Fairly sure she had red 'plates, but can't for the life of me remember which one that is. Australia perhaps?
Thanks in advance

Union of South Africa I should think. She's in BR Green. Bittern isn't out on the mainline yet, and SNG is in BR Blue. The other three are all static (2 in North America).
