Some more location questions

I would be grateful for assistance in identifying these locations and any other information on what is shown in the images.

I believe the swing bridge is Sutton Bridge on the M&GN.

The second photo is interesting. The coaches are still in NER livery, but the open third in the centre of the photo has what appear to be GN bogies.

The headboard has ULL(?), I think. Certainly LL. So Hull is a good possibility, given the stock.

How about the south end of Beverley station looking south?

I didn't realise the main windows opened for ventilation on those coaches either. Was that a feature of all of them or just the opens? Presumably the opening was very limited.

I had not realised this as well. I wonder if there is any evidence of this on RFO 2118 under the care of LNERCA at the NYMR? it was later fitted with LNER sliding lights.

There is a section on Beverley on the disused stations site, dealing with the line to York via Market Weighton.

This confirms Beverley as the location.

The train could well be the Newcastle-Hull service. In the summer 1924 public TT this stopped at Beverley just after 3.00pm.

Yes, the location is Beverley, everything fits.

All the compartment widows were falling lights, the corridor lights were fixed and the open saloons had a mixture of fixed and falling lights. This means that the closer coach in the photo is an open third and the other is a full third.

This is B1 1178 but no information as to the location came with the negative:

The location of this shot of 3254 might be Nottingham Victoria but I have no further information as to the type of engine (other than that it is an Atlantic). The vehicle it is coupled to appears to be a horsebox:
