I'm trying to work out what year I first went exploring down there, I'm pretty certain I was still at primary school the first time so must have been between 1972 and 1974 I think.

IIRC one of the Bilton Jn signalmen was a bit of an enthusiast and I am sure a colleague mentioned that he had been loaned a photo album a while back by the family. I will try and seek out further information if it is of interest.

I’d definitely find that photo album of interest. I’m always looking for information about that area.....as I slowly (very slowly!) develop my plans for a layout. I will be modelling the Gas works interchange sidings at Bilton Junction.
