Interesting to see Humorist before they started chopping it about.

139, Trigo at Grantham is an interesting picture; it's after mid 1938 (this is the 1938 Scotsman set and the loco has the Class designation on the buffer beam) by which time the FS would be an A4 working. The suggestion is 2595 has picked this up after a failure. We found that in March 1939 Trigo took the Coronation from Newcastle to KX after a failure - was she the southbound Newcastle pilot at this time?

The driver has also stopped well back from the signal, which is usually visible in shots like this. An impromptu stop for some reason? The tender has no corridor so it may be they'd have to stop to change over or for some other reason.

144 is at Haymarket and shows a tablet catcher on the loco for working up to Montrose.
