60007 Sir Nigel Gresley Welsh Marches Express (Saphos Trains) Shrewsbury 10th May 2023

Post by neildimmer »

I went over to Shrewsbury today to see the arrival of 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley with the Welsh Marches Express (Saphos Trains)
Running nearly an hour late due to signalling problems associated with a lightning strike yesterday, plus trespassers on the line near Shrewsbury

I don't rate the livery even if it was authentic i'd rather the 'old girl' be back in B.R. Brunswick green

Hi Mickey &all,I like it/love it King/MN /A4 that blue heralded the the future the '50's after the dismal '40's& the continuing austerity, only ever just remembering the one sighting for me an A1 blue@ the Kings X buffer stops around '51/'52 so long ago now hope my memory not playing tricks.jj
