Until the start of the route's modernisation began here in 1970 under the King's Cross Resignalling, the Up Goods line from New Barnet, on the 1-in-200 falling gradient, ended here Neil.
Instead, here the customary trap point had quite a long overrun, crossing the Up Sidings/Up Slow points connection in the process before running a short distance uphill on the embankment, where the rails just ended.

G'Day Stevie

Didn't know about that, it may have been removed before I started there.

A low-ish res. photo c.1969 manna.
The Up Goods overrun is there, but rather rusty - you may have to zoom in a little to see a bit more clearly.
Not sure whether the rails had been cut back a little, clear of the 'grass', or had just become overgrown.

Some of the trackwork was still there in 1970/1 but most was out of use. Amazing amount of coal yards on the Down side, don't remember any of that being there, again 1970/1.

On the Down side manna. it wasn't.
Barring any rails still on (more like in !) the ground at that time if there was any remaining coal activity (non-rail) there, the rail access, which had been by two Ground Frames off the Down Goods line, had gone by 1968, and their single release lever (No.1) in the Box rendered spare.

But connection into the Up sidings was still officially operational when (and for a short period after), the New Barnet-Oakleigh Park area was resignalled in June 1970.

I remember seeing the Up & Down goods lines semaphore signals between Oakleigh Park & New Barnet having been removed from there posts which from memory I vaguely recall was around January/February of 1970 in preparation for the re-signalling of the New Barnet area later in 1970. I recall one day riding on an all stations x2 car Cravens unit along the Up slow line from WGC to Kings Cross and noticing all the Up & Down goods lines semaphore signals having been removed.

I also recall seeing a oil train (large tanks) hauled by a Brush type 4 being 'turned in' off the Down slow line and onto the Down goods line at Oakleigh Park heading towards New Barnet South Box along the Down goods line when I was riding on a passing train which must have been during the latter half of 1969 possible during the autumn and was possibly one of the last freights to travel over the Down goods line between Oakleigh Park & New Barnet North Box?. From memory by the end of the 1960s the Up & Down goods lines between Oakleigh Park & New Barnet rarely saw any trains run over them.
