North British Railway

Post by Caledonian »

I'm in the happy position of possessing a number of John Thomas's books on Scottish railways including The North British Railway Vol.1 published in 1969 and his 1972 book on The North British Atlantics, but I'm having great trouble in locating The North British Railway Vol.2. I believe that it may finally have seen the light of day around 1975 but if so its pretty scarce.

Can anyone confirm?

Hi Stuart

There are copies available on both ukbookworld and abebooks.

There are also some 2 volume sets available. It might be easier to buy a set and then sell on your volume 1 on eBay or elsewhere. I know this will depend on whether you perhaps have an attachment to your present copy. I've had this situation. In the end I kept the sentimental copy and duplicated it. There's no accounting some times :)

Hope this helps.

Best wishes
