It now seems the Wansbeck IS going to Boulby, but NOT Saltburn on Saturday.

Redcar 1455 Saltburn West Jn 1507, Crag Hall 1527, Bouby Reception 1555
Boulby Reception d. 1605, Crag Hall a. 1630 d.1655 Saltburn West Jn 1721 Redcar 1730

Looks like the B1 will lead to CPL, then the K1 will haul back up the hill

This is supposed to be a photo page. Less chat please and more photos of the Saltburn branch with LNER locos preferably. Here are some from the weekend. Sunny in the Boro but misty at Saltburn.

thanks for posting the photos. I was on the train and enjoyed the day around the old haunts, despite the weather, so its good to see some line-side shots. Are there anymore out there please gents (or lasses)?

What a smashing model.
Here is my memory of said cinema on a cold wet day in 1971.

I think the use of "Rollebok" (I think that's how its spelt) is an option as is TALGO

Oak tree Junction 4 1/4 miles from Darlington, the junction of the Original S&D with the later alignment to Darlington South junction.
Underneath the tarpaulin is a class 31 which ran through the trap points protecting the Darlington to Saltburn line from the stub of the old S&D used as access to Dinsdale Rail Welding depot.
Think this was taken in the mid eighties.
Has anyone any recollections of this event?

a question for Mr B
what do you know about the glasgow-saltburn service that ran in the 1950s/early 1960s?
