S&D 53802 at Doncaster Works

I have added a photo of S&D 7F 2-8-0 53802 at Doncaster works, does anyone have a date for this please?

53802 withdrawn 3/1960. Scrapping date is given as May 1960. Quite a number of midland locos were cut up Doncaster at around this time

I think that this was probably the most unusual loco that I ever saw pass through Doncaster station. I remember that is was in a "Plant Stream", as we used to call them (maybe 4/5/6 locos in a formation, one of which would be in steam). Plant streams originated at the shed, passed in a northerly direction on the centre road through the station and then returned on a line to the west of the station and thence into the works. They were always fascinating, each dead loco making its own different wheezing sound as they passed by. All sorts of different locos could be in a stream, often a Pacific included.

I probably saw it during my Easter School holidays, possibly Whit.
