Hi there. I've just joined, and for a first posting I thought I'd share with you one of my favourite photos. It's Sir Nigel Gresley waiting at Stevenage on 6 December 2009 heading the Railway Touring Company special Kings Cross to Lincoln.

I think that's a nice 'platform end' shot. With the A4s, sometimes you can focus on capturing them and a train at speed and forget about the opportunities when they are stationary. Despite the cloud, you've got some reflections in the streamlining and the composition looks good.

I agree with Simon,excellent shot sir--and Gresley looks a lot better there than she has lately!!!!!!Can anyone from the NYMR update us as to her progress??
