Mine says 4772 as well... thank goodness for that, thought I was missing something for a moment.

P1 2393 is working back from Doncaster after a Light Casual following modifications to improve haulage capacity.

Talking of Barrow Hill, Giants of Steam, I believe D of C should be on the move from York to Barrow via Darlington?. Did anyone get any photos?

Oops just checked Barrow Hills Facebook page and she has now arrived there, and there are photos.
Cheers,
Peter.

THE BIG EVENT draws close. Come on LNER fans, what would you rather do? Sit at home? Wander around Doncaster racecourse exhinition center looking at loads of box-shifter's stalls and non-LNER modelling? Orrrrr, come to see some real LNER locos and pure LNER modelling????

I think you ought to know the answer.......

I am coming along on Sunday, even dragging my brother along to try kick him back into the modelling habit

I am hoping for brilliant sunshine so I can dribble un-blocked at this amazing layout

See you all at the Hill!

See you on Sunday Jim.

Just in case it helps to tempt out any waverers, here's a small fraction of the non-A4 / Silver Jubilee / Coronation stock, packed and ready for the off, pictures not including a further box of teak coaches, a coal train and a fish train. Then of course Mr Weallans is bringing enough stuff to make my contribution here look like a token effort.....

Painfully, I'll be driving within a few miles of this today - but doing a talk on the NER in Yorkshire in the afternoon so won't have time to pop in on the way!

Just home from an excellent day at Barrow Hill!

Great to meet up with friends, work colleagues, folks from my A1 Trust days as well as Graham, Graeme, Tom and Brian from this forum.

Very much enjoyed watching Grantham and the awesome locos and rolling stock. All the hard work involved in bringing it, setting up, running to the schedule, and taking it all down again, was very much worth it from a spectator point of view. Many thanks!

The sun obliged from time to time - glorious to see Bittern, Blue Peter, Dwight D Eisenhower and Dominion of Canada, all looking stunning.

A really great LNER "fix"! :D
