Alas no trains!

This was a GNSR terminus, but I don't know if the building that burnt in the 2015 fire was the original GNSR building?

I understand that the building which burnt down was the Great North of Scotland Railway station from 1886. Of course the true original station was built by the Aboyne and Braemar Railway opening in 1866 and replaced by the former company.

No trains but at least there are some rails with a former Royal Saloon in the museum. The building now also houses the local library and a café.
BTW the name is spelled Ballater
