An announcement from Isinglass

Post by 2562 »

As it's the season for announcements thought I'd jump on the band wagon and share some news.

In 2010 Isinglass models will be releasing a range of van and coach brass kits in 4mm scale.
The first release will be a diagram 87 milk van pictured below. This is the test build so please excuse some inaccuracies and my lack of modelling experience!

This test build will be on display at the St. Albans Exhibition on the 15th/16th Jan and I will hopefully have some etches (although probably not the full kit) available there.

The second release will be a diagram 120 Pigeon van and I will have a test etch available to view by the Nottingham in march. The astute amongst you will have noticed that I am covering old ground with these 2 kits but we all have to start somewhere! The third release is planned as a GCR cct/elephant van which again I would hope to have on display in march.

Other scales will almost certainly follow on and once the 4mm work is finished I will aim at the Reading trade show in December for the 7mm releases. If you have any hoped for kits, let me know. I am open to ideas!

I'm also busy cataloging the various diagrams and GAs that I have in addition to the range of Isinglass drawings, with the intention of making these available in their original form.

keep an eye on http://isinglass-models.co.uk/html/announcements.html for further information.

Happy new Year everyone.

Andy

Andy.

Fantastic! A greatly missed prototype. Please let us know when the full kit is available.

VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR... 8)
Now this is great news - looking forward to the GCR beastie........
And as for ideas... ANY GCR please and LNER CCT's and stuff.... :P
There seems to be a hole for this sort of stuff maybe?
Small additional increments are transformative.

Andy

it's great to see you taking it all forward. Alas I personally model in 7mm (a direct- scale-up of anything GCR would be very welcome for me!) but I find it interesting to see you are working on expanding the GAs and other drawings. Seeing how much the lately available range of 4mm scale D&S kits have been selling for second hand on ebay I am sure you will be successful in your new venture!

cheers
Will

Can I add my name to the list Andy - Well done that man.

Will they be available through your site in time or just at shows?

Many thanks for the encouraging words. When I have sourced the extras I'll be adding the kit(s) to the website as well as carrying some to exhibitions.

Andy.

You certainly can, in fact I have been eyeing up a horse box diagram so there's a strong possibility on that one.

Another for your consideration is Fish vans - especially the EX GCR Bogie Fish van.
