Re: Tweedmouth Shed Blaze---AGAIN
Whilst searching for something else, I discovered that an application has been submitted by Flannigan to demolish Tweedmouth Shed. The application is about 6 months old:- http://www.northumberland.gov.uk/idoc.a ... version=-1
I don't know if it was approved or not but, as I said above, it is a prime site for redevelopment - its maybe time for another fire....

Its a bit late now but its a pity it was'nt listed they would have to put it back to its original condition.

Re: Tweedmouth Shed Blaze---AGAIN
Following a posting on the Facebook "Railways of Berwick and Eastern Borders" page about the state of Tweedmouth Shed, I had the opportunity to call on the way past today and can confirm that large sections of the roof have collapsed in the wind over the last few days, leaving the whole structure open to the weather. I would think that this coming winter will just about finish it off.
It is a terrible shame that one of the last remaining North Eastern roundhouses should end its days like this, after surviving 45 years since closure, as a result of indifference, neglect and malicious intent.
