New Pages: 0-6-0Ts

Post by richard »

I've started work on the remaining 0-6-0Ts. As before, I'll post a reply to this thread as I complete new pages. There are about two dozen classes to do. Most are short, so I think I will have them completed in a matter of weeks - definitely before the end of the year.

The first to be completed is an oddity, the J78 Crane Tank:

http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j78.shtml

By my reckoning, this means I've now completed all of the LNER's crane tanks (the others being the J92 and the GNR's 0-4-4T crane tank).

I've completed a few more this morning: the two E&WYUR 0-6-0STs (J84 and J85) and the Fletcher Class '44':

http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j85_ewyur.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/ner_44.shtml

This completes the E&WYUR locomotives. The East & West Yorkshire Union Railway looks an interesting little railway. It might be a candidate for a page in the 'articles' section at a future date.

Working through the NER sidetanks, I've just completed the J71 page:

I've just added pages for the J72, J73, and J74 sidetank engines:

http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j72.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j73.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j74.shtml

I've also added some very empty looking pages for Henry Tennant and Alexander McDonnell:

http://www.lner.info/eng/tennant.shtml
http://www.lner.info/eng/mcdonnell.shtml

This era of the NER sounds like an 'interesting' time, so I hope to add to these pages at a future date. I'd be interested if anyone has any further information about either of them.

And another NER 0-6-0T (J76):

I've just added two more NER 0-6-0Ts: the J77s and J79s.

http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j79.shtml

This completes the NER tank engines.

Had quite a run today, and added ALL of the NBR's 0-6-0Ts. Most of these
(J81, J82, J84, J85, J86) barely made it into LNER ownership and were withdrawn by about 1924-5. The other two classes are more notable (J83 and J88), being built in larger numbers and lasting into BR ownership.

The pages:

http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j81.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j82.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j83.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j84.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j85.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j86.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j88.shtml

By my reckoning, this finishes the NBR tank engines. I'm also within sight of finishing all of the 0-6-0Ts (and hence all the tank engines), so I may try to finish them over the next few days. I am going to be busy with a train show the coming weekend, and lots of business meetings the following week. It would be good to get them finished before then.

I've just completed the last of the 0-6-0Ts: J90 & J91 (GNSR), J93 (M&GN) and the J94 (WD):

http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j90.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j91.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j93.shtml
http://www.lner.info/locos/J/j94.shtml

This also completes the tank engines!

Also in the past day, I have added a lot of information to the McDonnell page and updated the Tennant page with information supplied by Colombo (Thanks Colombo!):

http://www.lner.info/eng/mcdonnell.shtml
http://www.lner.info/eng/tennant.shtml

I'm going to be busy with train shows and business meetings over the next couple of weeks, so there will be a lull in the new pages. The next on the list will be the GER 4-4-0s and D49s, followed by the 2-4-0s.
