Yeadon's Register Volume 50 and LNER Wagons Volume 4

Post by 65447 »

I'm told that the last volume of this series is now available, featuring Classes D50, D51, GC7, J58, J59, J60, J61, J62, J63, J81, J82, J83, J84, J85, J86, J88, J90, J91, N18, Diesel, Petrol & Electric Motive Power & Trams.

According to Booklaw they are fully committed for the next 4 years with no plans to produce the remaining Tender registers, only that for the ex-GCR tenders published some time ago is available - not a lot of help.

Peter Tatlow informs that Wild Swan has finally laid out the pages for LNER Wagons volume 4 - the LNER ones - and, at a page count of 360, the volume will be split into two parts. No further news of any publication date(s) though.

Small additional increments are transformative.

There have been a number of rumours of Wild Swan dragging their feet on Vol.4 - so enquire with your friendly bookseller - get them to ask about it. Enough queries and they might buck up their ideas.

The rumours say sales have not been as good as expected - especially vol3 (NBR/GNSR), but then you'd expect this to be the weakest seller (and the thinnest volume) and vol.4 to be the best seller.
