Sounds good - never been to Barrow Hill but looks like it's time I did, especially to see Joem, I think it's just that and 1310 at Middleton of all the preserved NER Loco's that I haven't seen

With regards to 251, is the move away from Bressingham permanent?

Ay up!

I remember Joem from the early days on the Worth Valley. Took me a while to get into things LNER, seeing as I was overdosed on Black 5s at this time....

Barrow Hill state that if advance ticket sales are high then they may have to decline entry at the gate for those who haven't booked up front.

There's no way I'm missing this event, and I can believe there is a risk, so for once I've bought my tickets in advance. :)

WHAT A FARCE! Perhaps I should not be surprised. How all these issues were not noticed before by "Mr Riley and his team", goodness knows! Let's not forget the loco was "launched" at the NRM last year, allegedly finished. Someone, somewhere has been incompetent, but hey, it's only limitless public money, who cares? Not happy!

Remember, one head (that we are aware of) has 'rolled'...

I know it's not much of a substitute but in response the DPS will be providing a Deltic, probably D9009 Alycidon. That's our work cut out for the next few weeks getting her ready.

Ay up!

I reckon meself that the discovery of major problems reflects more on the way the engine has been looked after. A quick bodge for "one more ticket, then....".

Bit like some cars on the roads, 'cept Scotsman won't be junked when the bodges catch up. Mr Riley instead is asked to sort it, Batman-like!
