Just seen that Nos 9 is making a light engine move from York NRM to Shildon NRM om Friday, anyone want to go over on saturday with a camera as I think I line up of Nos 8 9 & 10 together is inevitable, now if I could find out where Nos 7 is this weekend....

I think you'll find if you want to phot them all lined up it's after Museum hours and will cost you £60.

There was a post on here about it somewhere, IIRC.

No9 will be on the running line, with 60010 and 60008 together during public hours, with a rip off £60 for after hours to see the three lined up together.


Why not just turn up on the day during public hours and snap all three as 60009 slowly rumbles past on the running line? ;)

There was also a tweet from NRM today.

It has been arranged by a private organisation, and the GBP60 covers the cost to get 60009 there. There was talking of more locos, but they'd need more money to do it.

... which is the point I was going to make. Someone has to shell out the track access charges to get No. 9 there even if the owners pay for the coal, water and crew themselves. I wouldn't pay that money to go to photograph them - but then I'm not a pro/semi who might sell a shot or two to a magazine and make all or some of my money back.

Also according to a post elsewhere from Antony Coulls the NRM Curator. 8 and 10 are now inside.
But with Gaffer tape removed.
