Monster Moves A4s

Post by Bryan »

TV listings are now showing that the Monster Moves program on the transatlantic A4s temporary repatriation will be finally shown next Thursday (29th August) at 7pm on Ch5.

I make no promises for whether or not the usual dire warnings of disaster are still used in the programme.

They were!!! tales of loading ramps collapsing and trailer brakes failure could cause DoC to fall into the water.

Lots of tosh as well. As "DDE used to pull his command train" well it may have done but not exclusively as it implied. No mention it was not renamed until after the war. Not to many views of the two coaches which may not be part of his command train anyway.(possibly Churchills). Some nice footage of SNG at the NYMR with LNERCA's teaks.
