For those who aren't too offended by the Pacific's successors, there are plans being made to have at least, (if I know them there'll be more) 22 (?) Deltics running on our Deepcar layout which is currently being stored in the DPS shed.
Many thanks to them for this facility, it gives us some much needed space in the clubrooms until it's new home is ready.

With just two and a half weeks to go and preparations well in hand I hope I'm justified in giving this topic a nudge to the top of the pile..

I'll be there on the Saturday, sporting a white depeche mode t-shirt (hopefully black by the end of the day). I'll also be there on the Friday night for the Neil Cave photo charter

A few snaps from Grantham's rehearsal for the Barrow Hill event

That's apparently only Pauls's "temporary" mock-up model of the maltings.....

For something different, here's a glimpse of some of what was lurking in the fiddle yards and in the stock "reserve"..

Better images also appear over on the "big" railway modelling website, for those who like to visit bandit country.....

For added amusement/interest, we have compiled a spotting list for Barrow Hill and this is attached here so as you can come prepared, should you so wish.
Grantham spotters list Barrow Hill revised, master bw.jpg
The technical info has been copied from the very useful information on this site (under the locomotives section) but no doubt there will be the odd 'typo' in there. And, as a little 'teaser', there are two locos on the list who share a grisly coincidence :?:
