Tyneside Electrified Area - 2014 presentations

Post by billdonald »

Once again it's that time of year again where I wend my way over the Irish Sea to Newcastle upon Tyne. I'm happy to announce two presentations on the Tyneside Electrified Area.

The first is at the Stephenson Locomotive Society, Newcastle Branch at 19:00 Friday 7th February 2014. My presentation will be "The Riverside and Ponteland Branches" with the usual emphasis on the electrical operations, actual and planned.

The second presentation is at the RCTS Newcastle Branch at 18:00 Thursday 13th February 2014. This presentation with be the second of three dealing with the Tyneside electrified lines, in this one from WW1 to nationalisation. This series was started in 2010 at the SLS, so if you missed it here's your chance to catch up.

I would suggest getting there early - last year the doors were closed early!

Further details can be found on the respective web sites.
