Re: James's workbench
I've probably still got my instruction sheet somewhere. If necessary I'll look later in the weekend, unless somebody beats me to it.
Most subjects, models and techniques covered in this thread are now listed in various categories on page1

Re: James's workbench NER gunpowder wagons
Good evening all
Following a days playing with my miniature a couple of GWR iron milk wagons have come my way they for conversion into NER gunpowder wagons. I was wondering does anyone have a method for this as I am struggling to find any photographs to aid this. If anyone can help with the best method it would be appreciated.
Thanks James

Re: James's workbench
I did one of those into a GNR wagon a few years ago - it's on my thread - if that helps. I didn't try an NER version - maybe because of a paucity of pictures.
OT, but has anyone looked at making the Parkside GWR gunpowder van (angled corners rather than curved) into the GER one?

Re: James's workbench
Thanks jw I found your thread and the GNR one I am beginning to think I will go down the same route. After reading the particular bit of your thread I was wondering how far you took yours.

Re: James's workbench
Good Morning all, its been a while since I have actually posted anything due to family and work commitments but last weekend it was the model railway event at Ruddington on the GCRN. I thought I would post some photos that a good friend Nathaniel Parker took of some of my locos in action on Ruddington Model Railway clubs "Ruddington layout"

Re: James's workbench
Good morning all
I don't know if they are different, but South Eastern Finecast do the Peppercorn A2.
SEF will supply all kits parts separately, which is very useful for scratchbuilders etc.
If you send Dave a SAE, you will get a parts list by return.
Earlswood nob
PS. I have no connection with SEF other than being a happy customer.

Re: James's workbench
SEF now hold the moulds/masters for the Nu-Cast range.
Re: James's workbench
Hornby do the B1 steps (easy enough to alter to fit) as part of the B1 accessory pack, that also includes vac pipes and other useful bits. Available via ebay.
The last SEF steps I got were dire, a lot of their older kits have the same problem.
