Older models O gauge

Post by manna »

G'day Gents

I went to the Adelaide Model Railway show earlier this month, but I thought I'd share a pic of a loco I've never seen before, a 'Hornby' 0-4-0 + 0-4-0 Beyer Garrett, one is a Ex LNER , the other (no photo) was Ex LMS, I'm not sure they were made by Hornby or have been converted from 0-4-0's, anyone care to enlighten us :D

'Neverwazza', I'd have said. The loco wouldn't have needed splashers if it had been designed as a Garratt.

Re- the splashers, true, never noticed them, and looking at the front and rear 'tanks' you can see they were made out of the tenders.
